Jana Moreels
Co-owner of the Centre
Jana has 25 years of experience in the management of financial divisions of Austrian banks in Slovakia and Prague, as well as in client management in an IT company in Bratislava and Vienna. After moving to Klimkovice and a fateful meeting with people from her past, she discovered her passion for dark therapy. She immediately decided to develop this project in the Beskydy Mountains, combining research, meditation and commercial activities. After years of searching, she found her dream connection between beautiful nature and business in Čeladná, the heart of the Beskydy Mountains.
Roman Barták
Founder, co-owner and guardian of the Centre
A man with many roles and passions. Originally a scientist working in biogeography and landscape ecology, a practical conservationist and a university and alternative teacher. I have been attending dark therapy regularly since 2012 and providing therapy since 2013. I am fascinated by the simplicity of the therapy and its high effectiveness.
Lena Gistinger
Custody
Experienced masseuse with many years of experience, who also specializes in intuitive massages. She is currently training in craniosacral therapy, which she believes offers a great complement to other therapeutic methods. Lena is an enthusiastic participant in self-discovery workshops such as silent retreats and creative workshops. Since 2014, she has had extensive experience with darkness therapy, both from her own stays and from her work as a caregiver.
Marie Měřičková
Custody
Marie is a passionate lover of nature and can most often be found in the woods, meadows or among the vineyards where she has worked for many years. In addition to this, she is intensely involved in self-discovery and is currently studying theology. She is interested in European Christian history and its context, as well as in understanding oneself and others through different approaches. Her activities also include working as a guardian in dark therapy.
RNDr. Pavol Švorc Ph.D.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, ACADEMIC STAFF MEMBER LF OU - PHYSIOLOGY
Scientist, academic and assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava, specializing in human physiology. He received his education at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, where he obtained his RNDr. and Ph.D. degrees. His main interest is chronobiology - the science of biological rhythms that affect living organisms. Since 2014, he has been working with the Centre for Darkness Therapy in Kozlovice, where he has been researching human physiological reactions during sensory deprivation, which allows him to better understand the human body and its reactions to being in the dark.
Mgr. Tomáš Mičaník
SCIENTIST, ACADEMIC AT THE FACULTY OF ARTS
I am a scientist and academic at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava. I specialize in the research of dark therapy and its influence on the human organism from the physiological point of view. My work includes ECG monitoring, blood pressure monitoring with a holter, analysis of cortisol levels, which reflect the body's response to stress, and melatonin, a hormone responsible for regulating the sleep cycle in clients before and after their stay in the dark. I also focus on eight other biochemical markers. I approach dark therapy with an open mind and
respect for alternative approaches, as I believe in its potential for
improvement of physiological functions. If

Mgr. Kateřina Čigášová
Psychologist, coach and crisis inter.
I am a psychologist, coach and crisis interventionist. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and am interested in mindfulness, meditation and various other forms of self-discovery, including being in the dark. I myself took my first stay in the dark in 2015, moreover, as the first proband in the research on the effect of dark therapy on the human body in cooperation with the University of Ostrava. The darkness summoned me again, this time as a guide for other people, whether in the form of supportive psychological sessions or guardianship throughout the stay.

Mgr. Lucie Karbulová
Psychologist, crisis interventionist
I'm a psychologist by profession, I'm trained in crisis intervention. I incorporate spirituality and life philosophy into my work. Experience has shown me that the best mindfulness is the treatment of others. In my practice I work intuitively and based on my own knowledge of life. The darkness finally called me in May 2023, coincidentally during a strong full moon, and it got me completely. In the darkness, ideas were born about how to bring this sensational thing to the people. To provide a space for sharing fears and insecurities before and experiences and integration after. I offer both online and in-person consultations, which I prefer. We also offer consultations in the dark, i.e. in simulated conditions during the stay.
