The garden of the Darkness Therapy Centre is located at an altitude of about 530 m at the foot of Skalka, the highest hill in the Podbeskyd\u00ed region.<\/span>. The house stands on a creek terrace where the Ond\u0159ejnice River once flowed<\/span>. The Ond\u0159ejnice River flows through this place less than 2 km from its source and flows into the Baltic Sea as part of the Odra<\/span>. The weather here is pleasant: less hot in summer and milder in winter with more sun<\/span>.<\/p>

The rocks were formed 100 million years ago by the sea, with sandstones forming in the shallower sea and clays in the deeper<\/span>. <\/span>These rocks alternate rhythmically and sometimes contain traces of marine animals<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>The wildlife is very varied<\/span>. <\/span>In the forest near Ond\u0159ejnice grow maples, ash trees, lime trees, beeches, spruces and firs, with golden-headed lily in the undergrowth<\/span>. <\/span>In the garden there are old apple, pear, plum and hawthorn trees<\/span>. <\/span>There are also three species of orchids: the two-leaved orchid, the two-leaved orchid and the male orchid<\/span>.<\/span><\/div>

The fauna is also rich and often hosts rare species<\/span>. <\/span>Among invertebrates, there are fireflies, the fennel-headed warbler and the rare striped crossbill.<\/span>. <\/span>There are several species of amphibians (including the spotted newt) and reptiles (lizards, blindfolded lizard, smooth lizard)<\/span>. <\/span>The garden is a year-round paradise for birds, including many species of titmice, blackbirds, thrushes, swifts, and the occasional grey woodpecker or white-breasted nuthatch.<\/span>. <\/span>At night, there are foxes, marten and roe deer with fawns<\/span><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
